Features

Everything you need to survey a job site

The iPhone or iPad’s camera, used to capture, calculate and export your surveys — without leaving the app. Works on any iPhone; a LiDAR sensor, when present, unlocks the LiDAR Scan mode.

What you can measure

Six survey types, one device

Walls

Each wall’s area calculated automatically, openings included.

Floors

Floor area of a room, even an irregularly shaped one.

Ceilings

Ceiling survey captured in the same pass as the walls.

Roofs

Roof surface measured safely, without walking the entire roof.

Lengths

Baseboards, mouldings and other linear elements measured in one stroke.

Lots

Lot area with excavation and backfill calculations.

New

Concrete calculator

Concrete volume calculated from your surveys, with a detailed order sheet ready to send to your supplier.

Capture

5 modes matched to the real shape of the space

New

LiDAR Scan

Walk around a room with the camera: walls, floor, and ceiling are detected automatically in a single pass, ready to be added to your surveys.

Rectangle

For right-angled rooms and surfaces — the fastest mode.

Circle

For circular surfaces, columns and rounded elements.

Half-moon

For semi-circular surfaces and composite shapes.

Full trace

To capture any irregular shape, point by point.

Automatic corner squaring

Every corner captured is squared automatically, no manual adjustment needed.

Excavation & backfill

On a lot survey, calculate up to 3 distinct backfills.

What sets SITE DIM apart

Built by an estimator, not just by developers

Most augmented reality survey apps target real estate, insurance or inspection. SITE DIM is built differently: on 25 years of estimating and construction experience in Quebec, for what a real job site actually needs.

Excavation & backfill

Volume calculations for up to 3 distinct backfills on a lot survey — a feature absent from generic room-scanning apps.

Roofs, measured safely

Roof surface measured directly from the ground or a safe vantage point, without having to walk the entire roof.

Dual unit system

Metric and imperial displayed simultaneously — built for the bilingual Canadian market, not bolted on afterward.

How it works

From job site to deliverable, in three steps

Capture

Point the camera, choose a capture mode and trace the outline of the space to measure.

Review

SITE DIM instantly calculates distances, areas and volumes, in both metric and imperial.

Export

Generate a full-page PDF or a vector DXF file ready for AutoCAD.

New

Concrete calculator and order sheet

Turn a survey into an order ready to send to your concrete supplier — no manual volume recalculation.

Element type

Slab on grade, structural slab, foundation wall or footing — each with its own default specifications.

Technical specifications

Strength (MPa at 28 days), water/binder ratio, air content, slump and maximum aggregate size — adjustable per project.

Admixtures

Water reducer, accelerator, retarder, superplasticizer, fiber or coloring, as the job requires.

Volume is calculated automatically from the surveyed area and the specified thickness, for each element. The final order sheet includes the delivery truck type and all technical specifications — ready to send directly to the batching plant.

PDF export

Full page, ready to share

A clear document with every dimension surveyed, generated in one tap — for a client, subcontractor or supplier.

DXF export

Vector, AutoCAD compatible

Surveys captured on site become directly usable in technical drawings.

Units

Metric and imperial together

Both systems displayed at once, no toggling or manual conversion.

Language

Fully bilingual

Interface and exports available in French and English.
